Following on from its inaugural exhibition, Ferrum was now developing cutting edge collections for the market, as well as engaging in first-hand research on the key themes coming out of the continent. This was the result of significant demand for the artists presented, as well as the need for structure in balancing the approach to supporting the artist and story telling.
The exhibition on the role of the artist sought to understand the relationship between the individual, their environment/community, and development. Research is a prominent aspect of storytelling at Ferrum. This exhibition allowed the artists to bring specific ideals to life in the context of advocating for sustainable social development.”
